KATIE WESTON

Katie Weston is a dynamic singer, actor, musician, composer, music director, and teacher with a rich background in musical theatre and live performance. A two-time award-winning Lead Actress with the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria, she recently starred as Lindsay in the world premiere of Suddenly: A Short New Musical, featured at the Montreal Film Festival. Katie has performed with the Melbourne Theatre Company (MTC), captivated audiences as Cathy in The Last 5 Years, and earned a Green Room Award nomination as Musical Director for Legally Blonde (2019). Known for her powerful voice, she has produced and performed in her acclaimed show, Uninvited: The Songs of Alanis Morissette, which sold out at Chapel Off Chapel in 2019.

In addition to her theatrical work, Katie is an accomplished composer, releasing original musicals like Sugartown (2015) and Falling Forward (2019), with new projects underway. A sought-after live performer, she fronts corporate bands, including The Baker Boys, The White Tree, and her own Katie Weston Band. This summer, she will release her EDM single, "Conversation Ended," following her previous works, including her pop-rock EP Say The Word. Katie holds a Masters in Contemporary Voice and Bachelor's in Music Composition, balancing her creative endeavors as the Head of Music at Leibler Yavneh College.
